Muddles ???

Muddles take place on most Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and start at 2.30.

But what is a 'Muddle' ????

Each Tuesday and Wednesday members of the club turn up for a game of bowls. They never know who they will be playing with or at what position in the team. On arrival they go straight to the stewards desk and collect a token. This token will be either brass or alloy and each will have a number stamped upon it. These will be 1 to 7. Whichever number you receive will determine which rink you are playing on. The colour of the disk determines which side you are playing on. As you arrive at the rink you should find other players with the same coloured disks and then you sit and argue over who plays at what position in the game. The cost of the game will be set by the number of players. Tea and Coffee can be booked at this time. You will stop at about 3.30 for your refreshments!

Score cards are kept and handed to the rink steward at the end of the game, this is because at the end of the season the highest scoring players receive a small gift. The scores are taken from your best ten games.

Be aware though that some club matches are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays,
check your fixture card BEFORE driving to the club to play in a muddle.
